Westcoast Wools started from humble beginnings in 1996, with just one forklift, three agents and 500 square metres of leased floor space.

Since then, Westcoast Wools has evolved to become one of Western Australia’s largest wool brokers and shipping experts. After 25 of business, the Westcoast brand is now spread across Western Australia, branching into South Australia and Northern Territory

In addition to the Bibra-Lake based Wool headquarters and wool receival center, Westcoast own and operate the only regional AWTA-accredited handling and testing facility. The Great Southern Wool Centre based in Katanning allows significant savings for our southern WA clients.

Despite all the growth and expansion, one thing has always remained the same – the Westcoast Wool & Livestock commitment to service and working with their clients at ground level.

What We Offer

Auction

You are informed of the market appraisal value prior to selling and our experienced staff discuss with you the market trend of the day. You also receive full price support from our Export division, incorporating contract sales direct with overseas customers.

On-Farm Private Treaty

Your wool is priced on-farm at market rates and you can obtain a “net price” prior to us leaving the farm gate.

Forward Selling

A relevant wool micron can be hedged on a clean price AWEX quotation in a distant month forward. The grower owns the wool and sells the quantity at auction at maturity date contracted. The settlement is defined by the price difference of the hedged price and the AWEX micron price of the day.

In-Store Private Treaty

Wool received in store and AWTA tested can be net priced at market rates by our export division for direct sales to overseas customers.

AWTA Testing Facilities

In addition to the Bibra-Lake based Wool HQ and wool receival center, Westcoast own and operate the only regional AWTA-accredited handling and testing facility. The Southern based centre in Katanning allows significant savings for our WA clients.

Shed Cleanouts (Oddments)

Our representatives across WA can be contacted to arrange a property visit to price and pick up odd bales and butts remaining after shearing.
